FAQ

What is BrowserDAW?

BrowserDAW is a free online sequencer and web-based DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) that runs entirely in your browser. Our music sequencer lets you create beats, melodies, and sequences without any downloads. You can sequence MIDI tracks, create patterns, and load Ableton Live sets directly in your browser.

Which files does BrowserDAW support?

BrowserDAW supports loading Ableton Live sets (.als). You can play the MIDI tracks in your set using the built-in synths.

How does the online sequencer work?

Our browser-based sequencer works just like professional sequencing software. You can create sequences by placing notes on a timeline, build drum patterns, sequence melodies, and layer multiple tracks. The online sequencer supports MIDI import, real-time playback, and all the essential sequencing tools you need for music production.

Can I use my own samples?

Not yet. For now, you can use the supplied samples in the Drum Track.

Can I save / share my music?

Yes. Click the 'Save' button in the top menu and you'll get a unique link with the current state of your track that you can share with others.

Can I use my own VSTs?

VSTs are only available in desktop applications, not in the browser (yet).

Can I export my music?

Not yet. Working on it.
